Since at Banco BASE, S.A., Institucion de Banca Multiple (“BASE”) we are committed to our clients, we constantly implement guidelines, policies, and procedures to protect their information.
Furthermore, we are pleased to inform you that on July 5th, 2010, the Official Gazette of the Federation published the Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Information Held by Private Entities (“Law”), which assists us in our objective of protecting your personal information. You may access said Law through the Federal Institute for Access to Information and Data Protection’s website at www.ifai.gob.mx .
Consequently and in accordance with articles 15, 16 and other applicable articles of this Law, the personal information we obtain in virtue of the operations you solicit from or hold with BASE will be treated confidentially employing the systems established to this effect.
Purposes for the colletion of personal information
The personal information BASE collects from you will be used towards the operation and registry of the products that you contracted from us, as well as to offer you, if need be, other financial products by any means, whether physical, electronic, or any other technology employed by BASE. Likewise, your information may be used to send you information on other products or services related to the aforementioned financial products and to carry out quality surveys.
Personal information that may be collected
BASE will collect the personal information necessary to formalize the financial product BASE is supplying to you; this information includes but is not limited to full name, address, date of birth, country of birth, nationality, employment, profession, activity or line of your business, telephone numbers, Single Population Registry Number, Federal Taxpayer Registry number, passport number, and the series number of your Advanced Electronic Signature.
It is important to mention that as an entity regulated by the Ministry of the Treasury and Public Credit, BASE must also collect the necessary data to comply with the applicable legal provisions regarding prevention and detection of acts, omissions, or operations that could lead to, aid, or in any way assist the crimes listed in articles 139 and 148 Bis of the Federal Penal Code or in article 400 Bis of the same Code.
Pursuant to article 28 of the Law, you or your duly authorized legal representative may request from BASE, starting January 6th, 2012, the Access, Rectification, Cancellation, or Opposition in regards to your personal information by submitting a request at the address mentioned below. It is important to mention that exercising any of these rights is not a pre-requisite for nor does it preclude the exercise of any other right.
Furthermore, you have the right, to the extent permitted by law, to limit the use or disclosure of your information using the procedures we have implemented. If you do not obtain a satisfactory answer to your request from BASE, you have the right to initiate a Procedure for the Protection of Information before the Federal Institute for Access to Information and Data Protection within the 15 days following the date on which you receive BASE response or from the date on which the 20-day period from the date of reception of your request for the exercise of your rights expires.

Transfer of personal information
Although BASE will do everything in its power to preserve and safeguard your information, BASE may transfer your information to Mexican or foreign third parties that provide services necessary for its operations, as well as to its affiliates, subsidiaries, holding, associated, or commissioned companies.
BASE, as an entity subject to the oversight of the authorities of the Mexican financial system, is bound to uphold financial secrecy in accordance with article 192 of the Securities Market Law. We are therefore, by Law, forbidden from disclosing to a third party, with certain exceptions set forth in the applicable Law, information regarding your transactions and personal information.
Modifications to the privacy notice
Any modifications to this notice will be notified through any of the following: a written notice mailed to your address or delivered to any BASE office, a message included in your statement, an e-mail message, a notice published in www.bancobase.com or through any electronic channel you employ to carry out your transactions with BASE, or through notifications published in BASE offices or wide circulation newspapers.
According to Law, failure to object to this Privacy Notice through the channels established above is construed as consenting to its terms.
